Privacy Policy

Your privacy, clearly explained.

We wrote this to actually be readable, not just to satisfy a legal checkbox. If something isn't clear, email us.

Effective: April 16, 2026·Last updated: April 16, 2026

The short version:

  • We collect only what we need to run the service.
  • Your text is not stored after your session or used to train AI.
  • We never sell your data — to anyone, ever.
  • You can delete your account and data at any time.
  • We use Stripe, Clerk, and OpenAI — all reputable providers.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Personal Information

When you create an account or purchase a plan, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment data is processed exclusively through Stripe — we never store your card details on our servers.

Usage Data

We collect standard technical data to keep the service running: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and general usage patterns. This helps us diagnose issues and improve performance.

Content You Submit

Text you paste into the humanizer is sent to our servers to generate your rewritten output. We do not store your submitted content after your session ends, and we do not use it to train models.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Deliver and improve the WriteHumanly service
  • Process your subscription and transactions
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
  • Monitor for abuse and maintain platform security
  • Analyse aggregate usage to improve features — never individual content

3. Your Content

You own your content

WriteHumanly does not claim ownership of any text you submit. Your content is yours.

We don't sell or share your text

Your submitted text is used only to generate your output for that request. It is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising purposes.

AI processing

Your text is processed through OpenAI's API to generate humanized output. OpenAI's data usage policy applies to that processing step. We recommend not submitting personally identifiable or sensitive information.

4. Data Storage & Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and access controls on our infrastructure. That said, no system is completely immune to risk. We will notify you promptly if a breach affects your data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use carefully selected third-party services to run WriteHumanly:

  • Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy governs payment data)
  • Clerk — user authentication and account management
  • OpenAI — AI text processing
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how people use the product. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at writehumanly23@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g., transaction records).

9. Children's Privacy

WriteHumanly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. If the changes are significant, we'll notify you by email or with a notice in the product. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
